Interest Rates Lowest in 70 years
With the Bank of Canada's decision to lower Prime a quarter per cent from 2.50% to 2.25% and it's commitment to not change rates for another year, Canadians are expected to take advantage of record low prime rates, which are 2.25% at most financial institutions

Alberta posted the largest jump in the average weekly earnings of all provices in February according to Statistics Canada. The average weekly wage in Alberta rose 2.7% to $973.61. Average Alberta wages are 7% higher than the rest of the country and 1.5% above Ontario.
